THE STUDIO

Our studio workshop’s first incarnation was built in Stanchel, PEI as a 20x24’ building. It was later moved to it’s present location in 1983. As the years went by we added wings and more square footage to arrive at our present format. To get a better idea of this convoluted process consult the shop door photo’s when visiting our observation area.

The workshop consists of 1800 sq. ft including machine rooms, glue area, sanding room, bench room and finishing area. Wood storage takes up a largest portion of the studio so I have a great selection for inspiration. Our wood collection is exclusively kiln dried hardwoods focusing mainly on birdseye maple, cherry and black walnut. To obtain exceptional birdseye maple we have developed a long term relationship with an exclusive mill through old family connections from the early 1900’s. Birdseye maple is the hardest material to obtain in sufficient quantity and quality so we consider ourselves very privileged..
